She is considered a preeminent chronicler of youth, gender and consumerism through monographs (Girl Culture, Fast Forward, THIN) and documentaries (THIN, kids+money, Queen of Versailles). Queen of Versailles won her Best Documentary Director at Sundance 2012. Her Emmy-winning #LikeAGirl earned her the Most Awarded Director by AdAge, the first female recipient. Evers also runs INSTITUTE and THE STORY INSTITUTE, an internationally renowned photo agency representing many of the world's best photographers and the leading distributor of long-form photographic stories.

Lauren Greenfield's postcard from the edge of the American Empire captures a portrait of a materialistic, image-obsessed culture.
