Mell Ross
(Writer / Director, Producer, Cinematographer, Editor) earned a BA in both English and Sociology from Georgetown University and an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. His photographs have been exhibited internationally and his writing has appeared in outlets including the New York Times and Walker Arts Center. He was part of Filmmaker Magazine's "25 New Faces of Independent Film" in 2015, and a New Frontier Artist in Residence in the MIT Media Lab. In 2016, he was a finalist for the Aperture Portfolio Prize, winner of an Arron Siskind Individual Photographer's Fellowship Grant and Sundance Art of Nonfiction Fellow. In 2017, he was selected for Rhode Island Foundation Mac
Coll Johnson Artist Fellowship. Ra
Mell is currently a faculty member of Brown University's Visual Arts Department. Hale County, This Morning This Evening is his first feature documentary.

Maya Krinsky (Co-Writer) is an artist and educator. She has an MFA from Rhode Island School of Design and a BA from Bard College, and attended the Whitney Museum's Independent Study Program. Krinsky has exhibited internationally, including the Cairo Video Festival, where her short piece "English Lessons" screened at the Gezira Art Center. In 2017 she exhibited several projects funded by the Andy Warhol Foundation at Yeah Maybe in Minneapolis, Minnesota, She teaches studio and seminar courses at RISD and has worked for many years as an English language instructor for immigrants and international students, experience that informs her focus on language and translation.

Joslyn Barnes (Producer): Among the films Joslyn Barnes has been involved with producing since co-founding Louverture Films are the documentaries Trouble the Water, Black Power Mixtape, The House I Live In, Concerning Violence, House in the Fields, Strong Island, James Longley's forthcoming Angels are Made of Light, and the forthcoming Aquarela by Victor Kossakovsky. Among the narrative features are Bamako, The Time That Remains, Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives, Cemetery of Splendour, White Sun, and Lucrecia Martel's forthcoming Zama.

Su Kim (Producer) is a documentary producer in New York City. Most recently she produced Lupe Under the Sun (director Rodrigo Reyes), Adama (director David Felix Sutcliffe), and Kimjongilia (director NC Heikin). She has been awarded the CPB/PBS Producers Workshop scholarship, CPB INPUT Producer Fellowship, and her work has received numerous grants including from Independent Television Service, the Sundance Documentary Fund, NYSCA, California Humanities Council and Tribeca Film Institute. In 2015, Su Kim was selected as a Sundance Women's Initiative Fellow. She is producing One Bullet Afghanistan with director Carol Dysinger, Sanson and Me with director Rodrigo Reyes, and Free Chol Soo Lee with directors Eugene Yi and Julia Ha.
